Once I found the right graphics setting for my taste the game really looks good. Pros: The graphics in this game are without a doubt the best I have seen in any naval simulation.
Just frustrating that nowhere in the book or the game does it mention maximum depth per type of submarine, and that despite it being stated in the book.
So without the information in the book OR the color assistance on the gauge, you basically have to dive and figure out crush depth on each sub yourself and that can be a hassle sometimes. Also the depth gauge (according the book) is supposed to have the color coding like SH3 (green/yellow/red) but that is not the case. The book says that the depth gauge is in feet but its actually in meters. Unlike SH3, if you manually use the Deck gun yourself, you can fire the gun in rough waters.Ĭons: Well for one thing, the book DOES NOT provide you with any information on the submarine directory pages as far as depth capability.
